How we rate events
Every event gets one label, written out in text so colour is never the only signal. We show where each number comes from and when it was last updated.

| HIGH | Serious event, likely to matter beyond the area | M6+ quake, deadly strike, chokepoint at high risk |
| MED | Notable event, limited impact so far | M5+ quake, clashes with 1-4 deaths |
| LOW | Routine or background activity | M2.5+ quake, routine military flight |
- Military aircraft are shown at least 20 minutes late, never inside active war zones, and never VIP / state aircraft.
- Casualty figures are always "reported by <source>, <date>", never added up across sources.
- DEFCON levels are not public. We do not show or guess them.
- Disputed areas carry neutral names.

What is MonitorWorld?
MonitorWorld is a free live world monitor for iPhone and Android. It puts armed conflicts, military aircraft, earthquakes, chokepoints, risk scores and breaking news on one map, rates every event as CRIT, HIGH, MED or LOW, and sends push alerts for the regions you choose.
Is the World Monitor app real?
Yes. MonitorWorld is listed as "World Monitor App" on the App Store and as MonitorWorld on Google Play. It is rated 4.7 from 52 ratings on the US App Store. Every event in the app and on this site links to its source, so you can check it yourself.
Who is behind MonitorWorld?
MonitorWorld is built by a small independent team and published on the App Store and Google Play under the MonitorWorld name. It is not a government service. Questions go to support@monitorworld.app, and our data sources and method page explains where every number comes from.
Is MonitorWorld free?
Yes. The app is free to download, the live map, news and conflict tracking work without paying, and you do not need an account. An optional Premium subscription adds extra alerts, forecasts and data layers.
What is MonitorWorld used for?
People use it to follow conflicts and military activity, to get earthquake and disaster alerts for family and travel destinations, to watch shipping chokepoints such as the Strait of Hormuz, and to see breaking news with a severity rating instead of an endless feed.
Is MonitorWorld on Android?
Yes. MonitorWorld is on Google Play for Android phones and tablets, and on the App Store for iPhone and iPad (iOS 17 or later). The web pages on this site work in any browser.
