## Data sources and publishing rules
- Earthquakes: USGS real-time feeds and the USGS ComCat catalog (public domain); quake pages only for M5.5+, one address per USGS event. Earthquakes are never predicted; safety advice points to local officials.
- Volcanoes: USGS Volcano Hazards Program alert levels (public domain) and the Smithsonian Global Volcanism Program list of continuing eruptions (cited).
- Place search: GeoNames (CC BY 4.0).
- Armed conflict: UCDP Candidate Events Dataset (CC BY 4.0), published monthly, labelled "events to <date>".
- Media reports: The GDELT Project and public news feeds; labelled "media reports", not verified facts.
- Military aircraft: adsb.lol (ODbL 1.0), published at least 20 minutes after the position, never inside active war zones (Ukraine, Russia west of 45E, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran), never VIP or state aircraft.
